how accurate is the stock boost gauge?

hey guys i was trying to find more info the stock boost gauge since i plan on running around 22psi which is ~1.5 bar which is max on the gauge. how accurate is the stock boost gauge? i'm looking at buying the prosports boost gauge but whats the sense of running 2 boost gauges. also is a AFR gauge needed without a wideband o2? i just got an autometer AFR gauge that i might sell to get a prosport gauge instead. the mods are going to be MBC, JunB.L exhaust, K&N drop in and a reflash. thanks in advance

There is no answer on the accuracy question. They don't all have the same accuracy.

Also, 1.5 bar is only 21.75psi. You should get an aftermarket gauge on a IX to run higher than 21.75psi.

An AFR gauge goes hand in hand with the wideband o2. It's not used without one.

I compared my OEM RS/MR boost gauge with three laboratory-grade mechanical pressure gauges, and the OEM boost gauge was within 1 psi of the lab-grade gauges. Unless you buy a gauge with guaranteed accuracy (that suits your desired accuracy), I don't think you're doing any better than the factory gauge.

The movement of the needle is linear with boost past 1.5 bar. Mine read accurately (within 1 psi) out to 25 psi. To use it out to 25 psi, its only necessary to extend the scale on the stock boost gauge. Use a marker or whatever you like.

I logged some boost data today using EvoScan and the JDM MAP sensor, and my OEM MR/RS boost gauge matches up exactly with the logged values.

that sounds a little hokey

if your going to run 25 psi buy a boost gauge that is meant to read that high so you dont blow your ish up
