Invidia downpipe installation issue. Help, please

OK, so I'm trying to do an install on an Invidia DP on an Evo IX and have encountered a problem.

The hangers at the back put it WAY too high up and cause it to contact the cross brace. Did I just get a POS one and the hanger was a little bent or welded in the wrong place? Its a brand new DP. My Taipan DP clears with ease.

Thoughts?

Some exhausts require you to remove the cross brace or at least space it.

Only other thing i could guess is the DP wasn't designed for a car w/ ACD.

I'm not talking about the lower cross bars, I'm talking about the huge upper bracing!

And this clears the ACD great, its just physically too high. I moved it around on the donut gasket in the front, but that's not the problem. I guess I'm going to have to get longer hanger bushings.

Did the installation require you to reuse the OEM donut gasket or did they supply their own?

Yeah. I pulled the hangers out of the holders, but the stock cat-back still shoves the DP up into the bracing.

Its definitely going to take a lift to get everything straight like I want it and to figure out what is happening.

Figured it out. A stock axle-back mates too high, pushing the DP up. A 3" cat-back will fit perfectly. Back to the drawing board.
