real intercooler test on the way
Before this goes too far I suggest people read this. This will give you a better understanding of how all the components of the core work.

To all the people not directly involved in the test, lets try to keep this thread free of opinions and state FACTS only, as tests are performed.

to really do this experiment correctly, you need 3 exposed type J thermocouple, 2 MAP sensor and some sort of data acquisition, the faster, the better.
1st thermocouple outside the IC, right infront where it sees ambient air
inlet:
-2nd exposed type j thermocouple
-1st map sensor
outlet:
-3rd j thermocouple
-2nd map sensor

Regardless, the exposed junction tc will get you 99% there & tell you what your looking for.
Besides dyno runs, everybody drives their car in a transient type setting. Would you be willing to conduct transient pulls while logging rpm, boost, air temp in 3rd gear? like 3k cruisng for ~2 seconds then floor it, run all the way to your comfortable redline. A laggy fmic might not be as apparent on the dyno as it would be while driving around.
Are you taking donations for the dyno time? I would donate some cash

great i cant wait too see the results
lets see how the vendors are going to bash you
i vote the large 31x4x12 $130 ebay intercooler as working the best or being the best bang for the buck

Hopefully you'll have a chance to test out a Buschur/Garrett core, in the 4" variety.
Although I've never logged air temps on smallish turbo's like that 20g, hopefully they can be comparible to a 35r at full steam.

Finally someone is stepping up and doing what the IC vendors(who all claim their IC is the one) should have done. Thanks in advance for your helpfull contribution to the community.
