HKS Downpipe on a IX

Has any tried putting a VIII down HKS downpipe on a IX? Any info would be appreciated.

They will fit fine, but I would not go with the HKS downpipe as its 2.5" IMO. You might be limiting your potential later down the road.

i think the hks is 2.75, either way, not important. i think one of the vendors on here did some testing and determined until you hit over 400 whp, a 3" dp doesnt help you anymore then a 2.75 does.... after that, its too restrictive. Dont quote me on this, i haven't done any testing, just something i read on here posted by a vendor. I am running the Tanabe which is 2.75, fits perfect, comes tapped for an egt probe and i hit the numbers in my sig with it with just bolt ons.

thanks for all the great info! I don't plan on making more than 400hp (probably ever) in my evo. It's sooo hard to stop myself from doing so, but i really really can't right now lol Thank again!
