To the rest of you. Now that I must have made a decent point of this that some of you are going back and seeing what Al actually said let me re-iterate the point.

Al is saying all 3" exhausts are NOT created equal. A 3" pipe is a 3" pipe is what a lot of you keep saying. To a point this is true but the problem is when was the last time you saw this: "Now introducing "insert companies name here" new 3" exhaust, well it is only 3" most of the way, the beginning part has a big reducer in it and a restrictive resonator, also has stainless steel tubing, actually has mild steel flanges that are going to rust, a restrictive quiet muffler and polished tip"

The answer is, you never see that. What the customer sees is this: "Now introducing "insert companies name here" the highest flowing 3" catback for the EVO 8 and 9. Our exhaust is constructed of stainless steel with our new under 95 db muffler and huge 4" polished tip"

Hopefully you can see what Al and I are both saying. A 3" exhaust is not a 3" exhaust. The reason is, not all 3" exhausts were designed to be the lightest and make the most power. Ours happens to have been.
Thank you for clarifying my feelings in a very organized and concise statement

My main thrust has been to the community to be aware that the design and configuration of an exhuast system has a significant effect on performance

I hope that some of the readers can walk away accepting this theory which I feel my testing has supported

My other ideas are more controversial regarding the principle to buy American made goods when possible

I, for example will only wear New Balance made in USA running shoes - I wear them proudly on my feet every day. Sure they cost a lot more than China made running shoes by other companies as the people they have stiching them together here in the USA get paid a fare wage fo what they do and have health benefots and a retirement. I am willing and proud to wear those shoes.

I guess I am just too old school and I was raised in an era when as a school child we had to do frequent nuclear bomb alert tets and rush down to the basement of the school. I think some how that experience of living through the so called "cold war" made me less accepting of China products. Any goods made in a communist society which does not tolerate free speech and which enagges in active censhorship are not goods that I want to buy or support.

I agree that I am in the minoriety in that we have a 30 billion a month trade deficite with China.

The sad reality is that China is going to own our country the way things are going at 30 billion a month it wont be long till they own most of the major US companies.

AL

Whatever,
You know you wear New Balance because they are the best shoe for support and comfort. Why do you think Most Dr.s wear them.
+ 1 for supporting quality american made products. Not saying that everything from america is high quailty, you know what I mean.

Yes - I agree I love those shoes and also the fact that they are made in 4 X sizes and even 6 x for those with even bigger feet

Big guys like strong supportive shoes - no doubt and the made in USA New Balance seem to be the best

There are many products you cant buy made in usa any more - as entire industries are being eroded and run out of business - in those cases I must make due with what ever I can obtain

Where options are available i always buy US

Also - I prefer to support companies and vendors who support evo m with aed fees and who participate here to provide tech support - also just my personal choice

No problem Dave. The only thing here I have left to say is that the comparison was like compairing an Olympic athelete to my little brother. One is mildly retarted (Or so I think). I do think however, that the ebay exhaust will out do this "exhaust" system with flying colors, and be way closer to the power that yours is, seeing as it has no neckdowns, no resonators, no flex sections (in some of them) and a straight blow through muffler, that, although is probibly ****, isnt restrictive at all.

the shoe is assembled here in the USA, the materials, sole, upper cloth mesh, lace...prolly originated from china.

BR exhaust, the 304 stainless steel tubing comes from either india, korea, taiwan...not USA.

Jesus is business that bad for you and Buschur that every week a new "This exhaust is better than this crap......." thread has to show up?
Then you wonder why you get negativity.
Maybe the forum has had enough of you too!

Be careful on this statement, some of the NB shoes are made in China and most of the materials on all the shoes are not from the USA.

Unless you get a shoe that is marked "No Sweat" than chances are part of it was assembled in china in a sweat shop. Got my vans on and they look like sneakers. But exhaust.

Cars don't count? You give alot more money to Japan by buying a $30k foreign car. You should help out our American companies that are in trouble...like Ford or GM

Yeah, whatever. We all know that Buschur products are top notch. Just let the products speak for themselves. Take David Buschur's advice Al and stop these lame non objective and irrelevant test. If you do test parts, it better be apples to apples. You are just wasting your time. Also stop with the political crap. That BS is just pointless. None of us have the power to influence world economics to any measurable degree. Only the goverment can do something about that, but than again the goverment has very little sway also. What you're trying to do with these, "China sucks", ramblings is going to get you nowhere. People will always buy the most cost effective product. In business it is all about profit. Nothing will ever change that economic constant. You are one laughable person.
