What do you mean clicking noises. When you accel hard is makes like a lite knocking kinda noise? I always thought it was the DP rattleing down there.
Dealer said that noise is the ACD and it is normal. They made me feel like a noob for even asking about it...

i am hearing almost that exact same sound in my car, but it really sounds like its coming from the rear diff. i only say that because i just replaced my tc like 5 months ago at any rate, is there any other alternative to fixing it other than replacing it? tc's dont come cheap...

If you tcase goes it can sound like its coming from the rear since the noise does travel down the driveshaft. My mechanic used a stethescope to try to pinpoint the noise and was going to the front of the car, then the back, then the front again when he finally confirmed it was the transfercase and the noise was coming from the front.

that does make alot of sense about the sound carrying through the driveshaft. the only real difference that i can hear about mine is that the sound actually gets quieter when its under power and louder when i am off the throttle. i also emailed the company that i purchased my tc from and they may possibly cover it under warranty since i have only had it installed for 5 months.

I had a bad tcase caused by a shop using the wrong fluid. Long story short, Video 3 is exactly what a worsening tcase sounds like. WAAAAAAAAAAAAH while on the gas, less noise while off the gas, and as soon as you get back on the gas again WAWAWAWAAAAAH. It's unmistakeable.. like you're in a jet.

yea i agree. and i can also confirm the jet sound since i work on jets and that is really about what a jet turning sounds like. i am praying to the car gods to get them to hook up the warranty because i am probably going to trade mine for a IX if i cant get this fixed. im not buying another tc.

just an update on my situation: they are going to hook it up for me. well at least for the most part. i am basically having to pay for the shipping. still, i guess its better than buying a whole new tc.

okay, so heres another update for those interested. i have contacted kar king about my new tc today and they said it should be ready to ship by the end of the week. now, heres the catch. i was only going to have to pay $300 for it which is not bad considering the price of a new one. well, todays update has cost me another $75. kinda made me mad, but in the same respect, i guess $375 is still better than 2K. i will post on it again when i recieve my part next week after i get it in. i hope this one lasts more than 4 months. im sending it back if i hear even the slightest sound from it this time.
