The Utec can do exactly what you're asking. It's a piggy back, not a standalone. It comes with an option for a remote map switch, which allows you to switch between 9 different saved maps. The only criteria is that engine speed is below a certain rpm, I think it's 1500 or so. Basically, idle the car, and you can switch maps without shutting down the engine.

 

with so ebc you can switch boost maps on the fly by flipping a switch. in your case the best you could do is have a big boost map and a lower boost map.


I have a neat water injection set up where I have the WI system tell my ebc when something goes wrong and it automatically switches to a low boost map.

First you might want to do more reading on meth tuning and map switching so that you better understand before you ask opinions. Ask yourself do I really need meth for daily grinding or not and why would I need to switch maps on the go. Are you going to turn it on if a car tries to race you on the way to work or the store if so just get a meth only map and be done with it. If your worried about your girl driving it and it being to fast for her tell her that if she doesnt floor it it wont go fast. I drive all week long with out hitting full boost in my car its called foot control. If you really feel the for map switching then just go ECUflash(free)old laptop ($100 used ebay) and a cable($80). This route you full tuning and logging at the click of a finger. I myself use this I hve multimaps also a 91oct 20psi map for daily grinding 300whp mustang dyno and a 104oct map 24psi 350whp same dyno. I switch at the track and switch back when Im done racing for the day. and for the record high octane fuel makes more power then meth psi for psi. It sounds to me that you really havent thought about it that much.

 

FWIW, an Xede allows the user to flip between two maps, on the fly, at any speed or rpm. It's as easy as flipping a switch. One can wire a switch to activate the meth map and meth injection unit simultaneously.
