Hesitation/Slight Bogging with Throttle

Hey guys. I have been noticing a problem mainly when I am driving on the highway but it always happens in 4th and mainly 5th gear. While driving on the highway, I will be accelerating going going about 65-75 mph when i slowly release the gas pedal. When I do this, the car hesitates and you can feel the car do what is kinda of a slight bog. My mods are in my sig, please let me know what you guys think so I can figure this problem out.

It's probably compressor surge, when you mid throttle these cars and lift the compressor will surge a little and the car will flutter. Can you hear the turbo making a fluttering noise when this happens?

^+2, and i hope this isn't a VTA one cuz that's a no-no unless you have the neccesary parts for it to work properly.

Also with a recirculated one you get some fluttering when you're on partial throttle. Just remember to let go off the gas pedal all the way up next time you boost.

Yes I know it is compressor surge...I had a friend of mine look at it...(evodan)..but we came to a conclusion that it was a little more than that. We have similar mods and he told me that part of it was normal (fluttering noise) but im getting like a sort of stop when letting off the gas pedal.

I have the same thing happen to me all the time when I go up a hill in 5th gear and slightly let off, and I'm stock. Try either using full throttle or just let off completely instead of easing off. Not too big of a deal.

It is cnot compressor surge. If you watch your boost guage you will notice that you are pulling a vaccuum and not in boost when this happens. I will also bet that it did not happen until you modified you car. You are not alone this happens to most of us. We need to log this trailer hittching type of behavior and find out what will fix it.

Not only does this happen to me when I am slowly letting off the gas, but when I am partially down on the throttle trying to maintain that certain speed (usually around 60-70 mph). I just find it annoying when I try to keep a constant speed at this point and my car starts bogging and hesitating.

So thats it? You guys cant think of anything else...? Its not normal at all...it may have something to do with the fact that when i first run my car and i put it in neutral like at a stop light my tach keeps going up and down between 1k and 2k rpms...?

It's your probably your blow off valve. Try installing your stock recirculating valve and see if it fixes the problem.

dude it's the bov - make it softer it'll go away. like everybody said. unreleived pressure pushes back on your turbo.

just dont lift off the foot partially. when you need to decrease gas - let go of the pedal COMPLETELY to get rid of pressure and get back on it halfway or however you want to get into cruising speed.

thats why i dont let anyone else drive my car once i modded it. it's not as easy as driving a civic because of little things like these.
