Sorry guys for posting this but i tried searching and really couldnt find an answer.... hearing straight meth is bad/corrosive. Should i go with the snow performance boost cooler meth sys? and would it even make the same power as straight meth

 

I've been running straight meth for 20k miles and no noticable problems.

 

50% meth is pruven to make great power and is a lot less corrosive...

ask the ones that actually tune cars which makes more, its all relative to the psi and nozzle you use anyway...on a snow kit with the 150psi pump and a 625 nozzle 50% meth gets the job done...if you want to run 100% take some aluminum and stick it in the meth for a little, let me know if thats what you want your motor to look like...

 

What about 100% denatured alcohol, that is not corrosive right? Not sure if it is as good for power though...

 

no offense ultimate, but are you triying to be a sales person or some1 that wants to steer me in the right direction... and u say gets the job done....im looking to be at 400hp ...... i have tbe,intake, both icp, boost controller,280/272cams, fmic on the way then tune for my ix and hoping the meth would put me into low 400's hp

Is Alchy only good as a knock suppressant, and meth is actually a power adder (contains some O2)?

Ok, so what kind of boost is normally able to be tuned with each?

I have a feeling head studs will be needed with either.

 

none taken, i suggest 50% in any kit that you buy for an evo...the example with the nozzle and pump was just to show you that % and what power it makes depends on variables of the kit...so there is no one set % that will get you a certain power...this is because if you use a bigger nozzle and inject more at higher psi you are getting same amount of meth as if you were using a smaller nozzle and lower psi...with a 9 you will definitely get very close if not over 400whp depending on the dyno you use...the key thing is you will be in mid 11s if driven correctly...start looking for a clutch at that power as well...

 

alky will not make as much power as its a lower octane booster...

24-28psi is typical, depends on tuner and how they tune the car...

head studs are over rated and I do not recommend them being installed the 1x1 method, do it the right way by removing the head or keep the stockers...95% of blown head gaskets are from improperly installed arp headstuds...

No corrosion with alky, and no, it doesn't make less power than meth. 100% is always capable of making more power than 50/50, too.
