Assuming that this car is tuned similar to DSM's o2's are a bit high and timing is too damn low. I would like to see someone elses numbers. Or maybe datalog someone in my area? Looks like Just an AFC will do a lot for this car. How far from the block is the o2 sensor in this car compared to 95-99 GST, is it safe to tune for 92 o2's and 20deg timing like in previous dsm's?

Peace out.

Are you using a wet or dry system? And is the car totally stock except for the Nitrous? I'm curious about using a small 35-50hp wet system in addition to my exhaust, boost controller (19-20psi), S-AFC..

I meant the IC spray, I dont see much difference in timing and o2's by using it and car felt the same. Maybe on a Dyno it will be a different story, but then again u wont have that air pressure pushing in the water against the IC at 100mph like on the streets.

Peace out

Could you send some of your .pdb files to check out? Any wide open throttle runs will do. More parameters the better. qunajl@yahoo.com
thanks.

Guess I'm a bit too eager to run nitrous on the car.. Read too much into your post.. The #'s didn't look right for a nitrous run.. LOL

Man those timing numbers are low.

I recently data logged my car and was receiving 16 degrees of timing advance by 7000 rpm. You may want to try selecting fewer options when your loggin, as those timing numbers may not be accurate.... but then again it could be just a different car...

Those o2 voltages are also very very rich which does indicate how rich the stock evo is running..

I will try it again tonight with just RPM's and timing, i did connect at 11s\sec but i heard of somebody connecting at 19-20? I will let the Byte timing run for longer tonight see if it goes Higher.
Also i never went as high as 7000rpms. but i'll see tonight.

peace out

Got the files, thanks. I would do the opposite and log as many parameters as you can. I think 11 or 12 is the limit. Looking at your data I was curious to see what other factors were like TPS, Air Intake Temp, Coolant temp, etc. to try and get a bigger picture of what's going on. There's no advantage to just logging 1 or 2 parameters that I'm aware of, so log as much data as you can. If you can for logging....cruise in 3rd under 2k rpms and nail the throttle wide open to redline. This is the best way to log, under full throttle to redline. And if you can go right into 4th at WOT...

This is good stuff. Keep all of you logs for reference to compare to once you start modding you car out.

Will the data loggers show boost?

These dataloggers look pretty cool. Since the EVO lacks a boost gauge, I want to get something to show boost levels, etc. Since not every ODBII car is boosted I wonder if boost is one of the loggable parameters.

Is MAP the same as boost?
