fp green dyno today.
DD dynos in the UK run in 'shootout 44' mode to not give comparable numbers to the DD dynos run in the U.S., so we don't have a reliable basis for comparison.
The JUN 272 cams have longer duration than Revolvers, and are better suited toward large turbo, high rpm use. The Revolvers give more lift, which is better suited toward ported head, medium sized turbo apps.

Um yeah thats completely irrelevant. The point is these cams are unreliable and some people make more power on them and some make way less. This has been proven time in and time out. I think they are junk.
On the other hand having a car that runs strong after mods is pretty much a tossup...some cars will run stronger than others, but the majority that I have seen were "average" or below average. Thats something that I'd be ashamed to make an excuse for.
silver dollar raceway, hot as **** GA in the middle of nowhere, when i trapped the 119.88 i could only cut a 1.72 60, was spinning and popping of the rev limiter, 1st to 2nd shift was rough
So many things not right in this thread, so many............but what do I know.
Green turbo, middle of the road turbo..........yes, I guess I could agree with that, it is also the ultimate street/drag/autocross turbo. If you want a great all around fun to drive and fast EVO, it's the turbo I recommend.
1,000cc injectors. IF you told me you were going to upgrade to a GT35R later down the road and had the AEM, I would also recommend them. No reason not to use them if you have an AEM. They run/work great.
Revolver cams. Still one of the best cams I have ever tested with smaller turbos such as stock and the EVO Green. I can tell you right now that unless your head/block have been milled or something else is wrong with your build, degreeing them is useless. All you will do is loose HP or Torque from moving them around. Leave them straight up. I spent hours screwing with them with a Green.
Also, blockhead did make fairly low numbers on our dyno. His combo of parts was also not optimal, that was no surprise.
The cars at our shop that are making 400 whp with the Green have done exactly, part for part what I recommended they do and the car came out perfectl and powerful.
Trevor just ran 11.1 @ 127 mph on the Green in his 6 speed EVO on E85.
Bobby just ran 11.1 @ 127 mph on the Green in his EVO.
These are two prime examples of the potential WITH THE RIGHT COMBINATION OF PARTS. Without the right combo forget it and no matter what some of you may want to think, there is a difference.
There are some other Greens that will be running these same times, actually, I'd expect to see the above two guys and 2 others running 10's at full weight/street trim before long.
Not to get too far off topic but.............I had a car in last week. Fully built, engine, head, AEM, race gas, FMIC etc. etc. Not a single part on the car from us, mix-matched stuff from all over the place. GT35R, tuned on C16 at 32 psi. The car made 420 whp and I was leaning on it..................
Very next day Pete was in with his car, same things done, all of our parts, his car is driven 365 days a year, has 50,000+ miles on it. No port work done to the head, rebuilt engine in the chassis, 2 liter. 530 whp...................
There is a difference.
You cannot blame low power numbers on one or two parts on a car, especially when the parts that are being blamed are proven performers.
One other thing, the Jun's...........not good for an EVO Green or small turbo.

i just don't understand what i have that isn't good? I agreee w/ the injectors, that's why i said *** it got rid of my 680s and got the 1000s, no sense getting in between when w/ aem it works the same. I just don't understand why my car isn't making power, David i'll PM you and see what you think is holding it up, clearly you know what you're doing, Doug is a helluva a tuner so i don't think its his tuning. He tried as best he could, i believe my cam gears are at +2/-2

I would like to see an evo with normal bolt on parts, injectors, cams, flash, and meth or race gas put some good numbers down on Buschurs dyno and run low 11's at the track. I don't car about cars running E85 and a fully built motor.
