Heellpp!! Blew My Motor Today!
This thread is so ironic to me because the same exact thing happened to me about 23 hours ago. I blew the uicp off right at the tb. I didnt have tools with me so I had to wait for a buddy to bring me a wrench. The Subarus and 350Zs and modded Hondas were pointing and laughing at me when I was on the side of the road.....it was horrible....

+50. first time this happens it feels like the motor blows. dont quote me on this but i think i've heard someone say that when you blow the motor, the boost gauge will show it not vaccuming anything. you probably just popped an IC pipe of or blew a coupler. happens all the time.
oh thats bs. just last week my LICP blew off in traffic. got onto the shoulder and babied it down off the freeway and took my bumper off in discount tires parking lot to fix it lol. anyhow extremely happy for you that the motor didn't blow. the first tire my IC popped off, my heart sunk to the floor.
For the record..... In most cases when very bad things happen to the internals they dont make very loud noises.
I once mis shifted my DSM 1-2-3-2 that last number should have been 4 the motor spun to 10k+ rpm and I ended up losing a rod. I noticed a loss of power and the motor was vibrating but overall there wasn't any loud bang. I drove the car that way for 20 miles before the rod popped a hole in the oil pan.
When taking the motor apart there was MAJOR damaged to the block, rods, valves, and piston. Huge chunks had fallen into the oil pan but oddly there wasn't much noise associated with all that bad stuff happening.
