Jasil,

I just want to know what turbo (beside a gt42r) is needed to break the 700awhp on Buschur's Mustang Dyno.

David,

then what turbo besides a GT42R can break 700awhp on your dyno? David you say the 67 Ptrim might be able to do it but is that with the .63a/r or the .81a/r?

Looks to me like you ^ just want to be a dyno queen. Do you not realize that 650whp on Buschur's dyno is approaching 150mph traps? There are alot of "700whp" EVOs here that are barely breaking 140mph. Just sounds like you want a {dyno}number to brag about.

Are you guys freaking retarded?!?! I dont care about dyno queen numbers or trap speeds. I just want to know for my own knowledge as to what turbo besides a gt42r will break 700awhp on buschurs dyno.

Turbos are sized by airflow right. To say what will break 700whp on Buschurs dyno is a wierd question. A GT40R variant should be able to do it like a 4094R it's just a wierd question that's all. Currently most people just jump from a 37R to a 42R because the move to a 40R isn't worth the trouble hopefully the 4094R will change that and spool faster than a small 42R............we could go on forever here.

Usually you would have a goal and size the turbo accordingly.

Thanks for the info Jasil. Thats what i noticed a lot here to. Most of the big hp evos jump from the 37r to the 42r. Its also weird that the gt40r (gt4088r) is not that popular with evos where its really popular on a lot of other cars. Hopefully the 4094R will do the trick of being the turbo between the 37r and 42r.

I've never been impressed with a 4088.......IMO a maxxed out 35R (HTA!!) or 37R is the way to go. When people run 9's and trap 140mph+ I have to ask myself what more do I need?

How much boost are those "other cars" running with the 4088? Probably not much. Take a look at the compressor graph, the 4088 isn't a high boost turbo - it falls way out of it efficiency range in high boost. That's why it's not good on an evo. Hopefully the 4094 works out as it looks good on paper for the Evo and STI.

That's weird. You contradict yourself in the same damn post. You may want to watch who you call "retarded." I wouldn't give a rat's *** if I put my car on Buschur's dyno and it made 150awhp. As long as it reads 140 or 150mph on my timeslips when I cross the traps, I'm happy.

Congratulations on the build Buschur. I love it when an exterior glance of a car doesn't give cues to it's power potential. Clean, and fast.
