None of these guys run C16 everday. They run it when they go to the track to run great times.

Not sure of pump gas numbers, someone else will have to chime in. I'd say both of these cars could run 120 mph on pump. Eric's car made extremely good power on straight pump gas and probably would run 122 mph.

I dont think that should be a problem. My car went 118mph on the stock turbo at around 24psi and my car with the Green felt faster at 22psi than my stock turbo setup at 24. 23-24 on the Green should yeild 120mph no problem.

^^^ yeah, I'm sure you'll trap 120 no prob - but your car seems to be kind of a freak (in a good way )

It just seems like everyone uses either race gas or meth at the strip - when the majority of the Green turbos are going to belong to pump gas cars...

Tonight at the local 1/8 mile track the first time there with the green on my car I got it to run 7.46 @ 95.61 MPH 25 psi w/ methanol

AMS FMIC
AMS upper and lower I/C pipe
HKS 280s
Stock ECU
Apexi AFC
780cc Injectors
1mm over valves
dual springs
18" Volk LE-37

I think that is all the major mods. I need an intake mani, AEM, C16 and put the stock wheels back on it and run it again and see what it does. :-p

I'm going to take it friday on c16 and turn the boost up on the stock ECU and AFC combo to see what it will run. I have a feeling these are holding me back. Not sure how much an intake mani would pick the car up but i do think it would help.

AFR 11.5 in 4th gear.

not that great but it does, sometimes it tries to die but if u blip the throttle it will stay running. I might be looking to sell the 280s soon to get either GSC 272s or Jun 272s

If you raise the idle a bit with the idle adjustment screw on top of the t-body you'll be fine.....

Seems like an odd choice. GSC 272s are outdated and may not even be available anymore and Jun 272s are much more aggressive than the HKS 280s.

It's been awhile since I read about the JUN 272's, but I think that the GSC 272's and the JUN's are totally, TOTALLY, different and not even comparable. You can't go by the advertised duration when comparing one manufacturer's 272, to another manufacturer's 272.

Buschur has found the HKS 272's to be good power producers in conjunction with the Green turbo, and I know that the original GSC grind was very similar to the HKS. Now GSC has S1's and S2's, but I don't know anything about those.

Jun 272's would be too aggressive for the Green. They're much more suited for something larger such as a 35r. I've got the HKS 280's now, idle fine, not dying at all. Just depends on the tune and timing of the cam gears. I'm running -2/-2 for the cam gears. I had it at i believe 0/+2, idled crappy but made a little more at topend. If you're running a IX, i believe people have agreed that Crowers are a great choice. GSC's for sure if you're swapping them out. I'm also looking into getting the intake mani ported and a 65mm throttle body sometime soon.

looking forward to your pump gas et's. your setup worked well on the stocker, so whatever you gain on top of it will be a good indicator of what the green can do on pump... are you still running the stock ecu?

I actually changed some things though. I am now running ported/coated stocker when before I had a cheap tubular mani. I also upgraded my BR Deluxe FMIC to the Race IC... and of course the Green. Yes Im still on stock ECU.

Actually I was on the phone with a friend who works at AMS (GSNT) he drives the drag Evo for AMS and is a mechanic there. He was talking to Martin asking him which ones made more power and that is the Jun 272s. They make about 20 more peak HP over the HKS 280s and the GSC 272s made more power than the HKS 280s. This is some testing they did with different cams and the results they found. At this point I'm looking to get every bit of power out of the car I can. This is why I'm looking at the Jun 272s as a new cam option.

AMS tested the JUN272s against the HKS280s on the Green?
