I would talk with Greg @ GSC too while you're at it. It can't hurt to get additional information. Personally, I got the S1's but I am not tuned yet, and the Green won't go on for another week or so.

 

Yeah, I might talk to them too. I'll see if I can get AMS in this thread.

 

I've done back to back testing with the Jun's on a green and they do not work as well............end of story.

Also 500 whp on a green on pump is not possible unless it is being sprayed with nitrous.

 

If david buschur says it cant be done. it simply can not be done

 

I'm rocking GSC S1 cams right here. The duration of the cam might not be aggresive as the HKS but the S1 lift specs are more aggressive then HKS 272's.

 

David, that was BHP not WHP. Its Bill's car on lancerregister mapped with motec by the dentist, forged 2.0, jun 272, 1.9 bar = 500bhp on pump

 

What if you fill up a pump with C-16?


What about E85?That comes out of a pump too

 

Thanks for the info on the Juns on a Green though. I was just going by what I was suggested because according to what I have been told the 280's are not a very good cam. I've had them in the car ever since I had my white 03 Evo that ran 11.8 on the stock turbo. I really don't want to change them because that is more money to spend and this car is my DD. I really want to get my Eclipse running with the T4 GT35R setup I have for it.

What cams seem to get the most out of the Green then?? I would like to know for my own curiosity.

Another thing does anyone else have problems with there stock ECU running 11.4 afr one pull and then going to like 10.4 the next time u make a pull?? I have this problem sometimes and my brother has this problem with his Evo that has just minor mods done to it?? Just curious.

 

how are the revolver cams with this turbo dave???

 

I've seen this question posted before but nobody answered it except buschur stating that the Jun cams where no good for this Turbo.

What I want to know is.. What HKS cam combo would be best for this turbo.

A friend of mine has 264 I, 272 E HKS Cams
while another has 272 I, 272 E HKS Cams.

Does it make a different to go straight 2 X 272's or downgrade to straight 2 X 264's. Or is another CAM manufacturer better overall.

Can someone Chime in with any info. And Yes I searched.. This question was posted before but never answered.

 

I tried the JUN 272's with this turbo and they were just a bad match without getting into a lot of detail.

I have since ordered the GSC S1 and expect great things from them, but I am waiting on these cams so it will be a little while before I can tune the car and really see how I liked them compared to my old HKS 272's.
HKS 272's or the S1's would be my choices.
