Thanks for the update, I didn't know that.... wonder what twin scroll will do to a 37R, unless the turbo has to be bigger... Man, I just can't wait to have Buschur Build my car!!!

Al do you think you'll ever go to Orlando, FL to tune anytime soon? I want your hands on my car if possible...

Last I checked the Gt35 does not come as a dual scroll

I am working on some boost management solutions as we speak tp help manage the power delivery

Hopefully, I can retuen to the track soon, although customer's need come first and I am overly busy at this time so it may be a few days or so

Hey Al were running c-16 and meth and getting ready to switch to vp import gas just wondering how that gas tunes out and if your running it at all.

Damn Al with that MPH you should be well into Single Digit Territory. Ask Curt Brown to take a pass in your car. He is like 300 pounds lighter then you are so that alone woudl be worth 3/10's plus he can drive VERY well. Lets see what your car can do

I think I have reached the conclusion that meth is of no use with C16 or any other race gas

Import offers more stability and a bit more peak power due to the fact that import is oxygenated. However, in most cases the additional cost is not justified imho.

the fact that my car goes 156 with such ease on C-16 shows me that Import is not needed

(156.92^2)/10.3)*(3280/1000)*(1/9.5)=

825.41hp@wheels

There is also a neat formula that calculates 0-60 times based in 60ft, 330ft, 1/8th, 1000ft

Thanks for the support and being out there running Al. Great job on the new MPH, I think next time out you will bust out some new ET's to match.

It's been a great few days for us over here at BR. Between your new MPH record and the records that fell today at the track here............it's been awesome.

Thanks again for all your support!!

Hell, put shorter hoosiers on and launch in 2nd

This is a very interesting question and one which has me working overtime to resolve ASAP!

If you look at this data log (confidential data such as timing etc redacted) you can see that I launch at 7500 rpms in 1st on the two step

As I let out the clutch the boost rapidly shot up to 44 psi where the tires broke loose and the rpms went to 9.400 then 10,000 and up and down as the tires fought for traction

By the time I felt it was long enough at 10,000 rpms and I shifted to 2nd the vehicle speed was so slow that the rpms droped down to the low 4,000 range enough to get the turbo to bog and the car slowly builds the boost back into 2nd gear about 1.3 seconds lost !

The issue is that I need to get the vehicle speed up higher going into 2nd gear so that the turbo is into a rpm range where I am quickly back on full boost

My plan of attack is as follows :

1 - I am installing my Shep racing "ultimate ratio" trans tomorrow. This trans uses a taller 1st gear from a Evo 9 and other gear combos to make the shift points more evenly matched for my application. I have high hopes this will help improve the lag going into 2nd.

2 - I am going away from a MBC to a AEM EMS controlled boost management in order to better manage the traction in 1st.

The 2 - 3 and 3 - 4 shifts are fine and the launch obviously is making great boost so all that is vexing me now is the 1 - 2 shift point.

The thing that I love most about my hobby of evo racing is that each advancement in power has resulted in the discovery of new problems and the effort to help figure out solutions. It is a fascinating subject and I am now just as motivated and driven to push myself to new records as I was when I started modifying my evo the day I bought it.

So your just doing this on a mbc? Dam I would have been wired up the gm solenoid, that thing works beatifully with the AEM.
