This week I am installing the very advanced boost control system

The set up as engineered for motor cycles as they have serious issues with boost management and power control

I am optomistic I can get the car down in the low 9's with the power I have now just by managing the boost delivery in each gear and the ramp up rate

al whats it feel like when you pull the parachute at 156.xx? do you have to use a neck restraint or does it not hit that hard?

looks sweet man once you get it to hook up thatll be a mean car. the V8s are shaking in their boots id say.

In all seriousness - its still an Evo - no need for a parachute - its just there for the silly saftey regulations designed for old 70's mussel cars that could not stop of handle

A evo can stop really well from 150 and I have a very good suspension on the car - stopping is almost a non event - its the acceleration that is the crazy part

In NHRA rules you dont have to PULL the chute - but you have to have it ready to go

In NOPI when you are going over 150 you MUST pull the chute

I am not looking forward to using the chute if I ever have to pull it

Al have you ever driven a an evo with a gt42r and a 2.3l stroker kit? If you have what are the difference between a 2.0l gt42r and a 2.3l gt42r. Also why do you like the 2.0l more for the gt42r.

Yes I have

The 2.3L spools better but for drag action the real rpm range is 7,000 - 10,000 and you can not beat the 2.0 L in that area

2.3:L has serious piston speed issues and you can feel it struggle to make power after 9,000

With that being said will a 2.0L with a GT35R/GT37R be boring and unbearable on the street/highway?

Your response is appreciated as I am in the 2.0 vs 2.3L dilemma also.
I'm building my car to be a street/highway monster....

The Gt35 / 36 2.0 L is my favorite combo for a street car

It is laggy but with a built motor you can spint it to 10,000 rpms and stay in boost virtually all the time

humm.... that sure sounds like fun....revving to 10K

I guess if I go with a built 2.0L block, I can always swap in my 50 Trim if i ever wanna do a road course, and swap in a 35/37R if I wanna go to the drag strip....

I just have to make sure I upload the appropriate map into my AEM EMS....

Here we have some data on a Buschur Road Race evo which can spin to 10,000 but is shifted at 8,000

if you watch the video linked you can see how well that car works in a road racing situation

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=269180

A GT35 R gives up about 5 - 600 rpms of sppol up for about 40 more whp and another 1,000 rpms up top
