cam gear wont really help you much at all, personally.just get a clutch, an a new meth system with a failsafe.

Here's a better one.... roll it off the dyno, drain it, pour c16 in it, strap it back on, and start tuning then.

If you guys and the customer knew he had too much 93 oct in it to begin with, why wasn't this done? I'm not trying to give anyone a hard time, but it just seems like it would have made sense.

For one the car was no where near the level of tune that is should have had... The injectors needed to be scaled, and fuel trims adjusted. Non functioning knock filters also prohibited the car to be pushed as far as it could have been. Time was just limited. Next time he will be set straight, real straight im sure.

Was not made aware of the racefuel until after it was on the dyno. In your world rolling off the car while the dynotime clock is running at $140/hr may work, but its not cost effective to the customer.

In the end, it boils down to a horrific map that came in, 880cc PTE injectors scaled to 513 with stock latency values, senseless ignition timing, a CEL for STFT's out of range, and unknown A/R range turbine housing and a shifted knock filter.

to be honest draining the tank was not something i wanted to do the problem was not the gas! i had too much gas in the tank and only had 4ga of c16 28psi should have produced better numbers and i just want to know what i can do to get to the 500whp on the stock ecu.

I really have a feeling it is the clutch for some reason.... I'm not aware of any 500+WHP evos with a stock clutch.. Hey If I had the money I would have put one in but the fact of the matter is I DIDN"T! I know for a fact the clutch was burning up when the dyno guys loaded the car onto the dyno... It smelled awful after that episode. If it was burning up during that I can just imagine what it was doing on a 4th gear pull. I'm not down on power by a ton but I am down on power for some reason.

I recently tuned a 35r 8 that (against our recommendations) was running stock cams. We could not pull more than 300 awhp out of it on a dynodynamics (325-350 mustang). We pulled it off the dyno and did leak down and compression test, results were not good. Turns out the guy picked up the car used and was given bad advice by a buddy about what parts he needed.

In the end the low numbers on this car were due to low compression and stock cams.

That sounds a bit extreme... My numbers were not that low. Also the car was bought new by me back in 2003 so I hope not to find any suprises...?

Have you done a leak down or compression test?

Also, as i said, that car was an 8 with stock cams, and it was on straight 93 pump gas, no meth, no race gas. had he had 272's is numbers would have been around 330-340 on the dynodynamics (about 380 on dynojet)

HiTMan -

Change the clutch & hit the dyno again eliminate that potential problem. If the clutch is slipping bad & smelling, you definately will have a problem their.

If you're still making low #'s after the clutch then look elsewhere.
