Have you called Daiken Clutch? They have a great website for FAQ's, and they could help you out. Or contact Matt Gold at *** imports in Florida.

Hey guys installed an Exedy twin HD a couple weeks ago and have about 1000 miles on it. I am having a problem with disengagement. I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems and was able to solve easily.
• The car is hard to get into reverse most of the time expect when heated up. I have adjusted clutch rod many times higher and higher and doesn’t seem to help.
• While cruising at low rpms and disengaging clutch it seem like not fully disengaged but pops out of gear. (mostly slowing down in 2nd)
• It runs fine while accelerating with no lock out.

• I have searched the issue extensively and have bled the clutch line several times with certainty there is no air in the line or any leaks in the system. While installing clutch I put in an SS clutch line and removed the restrictor.

• I have checked the TOB for an issued and even popped it off then back on to make sure it is correct. (Does anyone have a picture of an Exedy twin through the inspection hole so I can compare TOB placement).

• I have read about clutch disc getting warped due to install but I am leaning away from this because I had the alignment tool in the whole time and used a tranny jack to put in with very little pressure on the actually clutch while inserting.( IF this being a the case how do I go about fixing if possible)

• I have read about no having lube on the spline and the disc getting stuck. I didn’t lube the spline on install and I fear this is the problem. Figuring a disc is getting stuck on the spline.

• I have heard of the extender rod sold and have heard it is a waste of money. I cant figure how a smaller rod could possible make the clutch disengage more?

My questions is can I pop the TOB and lube the spline with a lube maybe “Molybdenum Lube” that I read in a previous post or am I going to be pulling out my tranny again. If anyone has had this issue and resolved it I would appreciate the advice on the type of lube or anything to fix this problem. Thank for taking the time to read this and any future advice given.

i have the exact same problem, started showing up today. buschur installed my HD Twin and SS line before the DSM shootout. i drove it home 800miles and have been driving it around since. today the exact same problem you describe started happening.

has anyone figured this out yet. this has not been a good week for my evo.

thanks
