Get Walbro Fuel Pump in addition?

Hey guys,

Soon I will be going to get a Hallman Pro MBC installed. To make a long story short, I brought in the car to a shop to get it tuned. The previous owner already put in an AEM intake and stainless steal cat-back. Turns out that the intake was poorly installed, resulting in boost leaks and causing the car to only boost 16psi.

With the installation of the MBC, the shop will do a "health inspection" to make sure the car boosts correctly. I'm just wondering if I should also get a Walbro fuel pump installed. My question is, how beneficial will it be having a Walbro fuel pump?

Thank you.

Hmm after searching around some more I came across this person's account:

I don't know how true that is, but maybe you guys could give me some more input.

One thing is that I'll definitely be getting a tune.

And after looking at this IX fuel pump vs. Walbro 255... I'm contemplating on just getting a stock IX fuel pump instead...

how much is the stock Ix pump? i would just get the walbro 255 and be done with it. only reason i can think of why someone would loose hp from installing a walbro fuel pump is they were not tuned for it

get the pump or get the modified one i have seen for sale if u plan for big power. the only way to lose power with a 255 is to not be tuned for it and have more fuek then needed running pig rich. 90 bucks is cheap insurance man

A bigger fuel pump correctly tuned will almost always over shadow too small of a pump and all the tunning in the world

Hmm, I guess I will search for an IX pump since I'm not planning for any big power mods. Also, since it is a stock part and I don't want to deal with the Walbro whine...

Thanks for your help guys.
