Got to take out the half-shaft,and lower motor mount/brace. At least my guy had to do all that stuff to get it out.

For a starter?!

All the times I have dropped mine off it comes right off/out (3-4 times removed) - are you sure that you have removed all the bolts, there is a real long one that is on the transmission side of the car.

All you need to do is take out the two bolts that bolt the starter to the tranny, unclip the black plug, and take the nut off the power wire. Then pull it out by rocking it back and forth. You do not need to remove anything else.

One bolt head faces the driver side and the other faces the passenger side. The driver side bolt is the long one.

no a slight love tap with a rubber malet wont hurt but if your havin trouble getting it out the deffinetly try to rock it from side to side it is possible that the dust shield between the engine and transmission could be bent or possibly jammed on to it if that doesnt work put the long 14 mm bolt in back in thread it in like 6 turns and use a hammer and socket to nock it loose but make sure it has space to come out and not damage anything.

dude theres 3 bolts, i took mine out today. u have 2 on the passanger side (smaller bolts) and one longer one 3 maybe 4in facing the other direction on the other side of the starter. get them all off itll fall down when u get the long bolt off. good luck. Just dont start swingin a hammer at it.

to be honest there is onlt 2 bolts and one nut and a plug that you should have to pull. i remove them very often as a matter a fact all the time has on long bolt that you can remove from the driver side and one from the passanger side. in this guys case he is saying he removed them and the started is stuck in place we are trying to help him remove it by putting a 14 mm socket on the driver side bolt (the long bolt) and tapping it with a hammer it should be able to come free (yes you have to thread the bolt in a few turns)
