Approx. HP with IC setup?

Is there anyone that can give me an estimated HP gain from AMS FMIC, AMS Lower and Upper IC pipes with a stock Turbo?

Any replies are appreciated.

Thanks.

Jonathan

There is no answer. It depends on the rest of the setup, octane, boost, altitude, tuning, etc. IC pipes and FMIC don't do much on the stock turbo especially on pump gas.

Do this.

1. Dyno your car
2. Get IC pipes
3. Install them
4. Dyno tune your car and see the results.

ams said ic would most likely get 20 from just bolting it in plce of stock. was just wondering what would an est. with pipes. the only thing i have right now is in my sig.

I live 6 hours away from a tuner shop. lol. would rather not go dyno my car then get pipes and put in another 12 hour drive to dyno it again.

I've never seen a stock turbo'd Evo on pump gas gain 20whp just bolting up the FMIC, but hey. It's not a very effective mod on the stock turbo at pump gas boost levels. The upper pips are even less useful. The lower pipe is good for a few HP and improved spool.

I thought I recently gave you a list of how to best spend your $2k. What happened with all that?

If people were seeing gains of 20whp with the AMS FMIC on a stock-turbo Evo, I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum would be sporting AMS FMIC's...

Good luck, the IC piping might gain you like 4whp...

I think 20 HP is WAY exagerated for IC piping especially just the lower OR upper. I think , if at all, you may see some faster spooling and a few horsies but one of those lasts posts was right. If it were that much HP increase that would be a MUST and it seems like like most on the forum tend to put that toward the bottom of mods after the normal fuel pump, MBC, flash, O2 housing, exhaust etc. But more of an increase would be benefitted from more boost, bigger turbo, and so on. Dpends on the mods.
