Assuming this is on a mildly modded car (as it seems most of the high rev inquiries are), then it's safe to call the high rev fascination just another ricer wet dream.

Glad I have a motorcycle...

We have turbos on you cars.....Let them make the power, not the rpm. Unless its a 42r of course....and it makes power at 10k.

These what can I rev to threads are ridiculous. The absolute highest the stock turbo should go is NOT even 8000rpm, so dont worry about it.

Just to clear up what I meant in posting this thread, in no way was I implying I want to rev to 10k for the sake of doing so. When I bought the valve springs, the guy told me I could rev to 10k. I didn't believe him so I posted this question to all of you.

I'm looking to set a safe rev limit that will let me avoid spinning rod bearings, etc. That is my intent of this thread, not to satisfy my wet dream of experiencing the F1 scream... If I need that I'll rev my dremel to 20k and then go have a smoke.

lol....

I'm in the process of a SuperTech dual valvespring upgrade as well. Not to rev to 10k, but to have a safe 8-8.5k rev limiter.
