kia

I have a complete working kia 2004 and i wanna build it up sleeper status so theoretically i can use a stock ecu from a ego 8 along with stock turbo setup and it should work fine?? And tranny wise could the stock triptonic handle or switch to a 5 or 6 speed? Is a awd system possible?

coolant temp sensor wiring

Does anybody have any wiring diagram information they could share with me regarding the g4js coolant temp sensor harness clip? I.e what wires do what? what color is ground? what color is signal? and what is the 3rd wire for? the 4g94 temp sensor is a 2 wire sensor and the g4js is a 3 wire. I imagine I don't use the 3rd wire.

any info would be appreciated!

try'n to get this beast started!

Hi Guys, sorry for off topic but does anyone uses the 4GJS ign coils on their Evo's? Ive bought a pair of it and they slot in perfectly but the only problem and worry is, the Evo plug cables does really fit the 4GJS coils as they doesn't goes into the plug cables holes on the coils completely.

James, you have to use the g4js wires along with the coils. The 63 and 64 wires male ends are too small of a diameter. If I had my old wires I'd take a pic but they're gone by now.

Hi 2001gslp, thanks for the info and will get the 4gjs plug cables and they are very much cheaper too

But the concern is, will the 4gjs coils and cables able to support my 2.3L engine?

No problem bud! It shouldn't have any problem supporting that motor.

g4js swap into tiburon, Lancer fan.....

Hi guys, I been reading this thread and have a question if anyone can help, I am big evo fan, however dont owe one. I have a tiruron 2.0 with beta 2 motor. Looking to swap a g4js motor into it, put a turbo and swap the internals to reach close to 400 hp but I have a debate about transmission. As far as I understand the evo 8 Tranny bolts right up on g4js it just repositions the starter to the front bottom instead of front top?

Im going to pull the enginge this next weekend, will cost 380 bucks in pick and pull junk yard, just need to figure out the tranny choices in near future.

The reason i want to use evo tranny is because I read the gears can handle a lot of HP, I could use a 3g transmission of 2.4 eclipse but i am not sure if its gears can handle a 400 hp motor I want to build, so I rather go with evo 8 tranny.

Also, what parts fit on g4js from evo 8: Im not sure but I see that head cover, cams, cam gears, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, evo 8 ecu, and harness with sensors, or do I need g4js sensors with harness? Does the oil pan from evo 8 fits as well?

One more thing, as far as I can tell on pictures, the oil filter assy bracket that sticks out to the side can be swapped to evo one? They look identical. I dont think I have clearance in my engine bay for that mount, I might have to use oil filter relocation kit, I rather not.
