My FORGE MBC sucks!

Every single day I have to open my MBC up and put an allen wrench into the bottom because the ball bearing keeps getting jammed into the bottom. Every single day it gets stuck and when it gets stuck, one day thought it would be ok and I was in a hurry. My stock boost gauge looped all the way to the 6 o’ clock mark on the boost gauge. Keep in mind 3 o’ clock is 1.5 bars. So that’s what? Roughly 2.25 bars which is roughly a tad over 33 lbs of boost. I try bearing lube, I tried replacing the ball bearing because the first was all rusty and it still sticks. I’m sick of this. This stupid thing is going to blow my motor sooner or later.

Did you perhaps try calling Forge?
They are known for the excellent Customer service.

I've called them before and they said just change the ball bearing. so i went to ace hardware and bought some. they didn't offer me much of a solution. regardless, what is forge going to do? send me a whole new boost controller? doubt it. i hoped theyd say that the first time i told them it was sticking but instead they just said go buy another ball. it was several months ago and i've put up with it till now but im just sick and tired of it.

Bah, and people still buy these with all the problems...

I was one of those fools that bought into the bs.....

You have two options....

You can try lubing up the ball with some synthetic grease

Or you can get a Hallman ES for like $10 used from ebay and blow that forge out of the water..

OLD SCHOOL HALLMAN FTW!

Now someone argue with me that the Forge is the best MBC on the market cause it clicks, big deal...

I just had to clean mine out again the other day. It spiked all the way past 2.0 bar and got me kinda scared. Opened it up and it was pretty dirty, cleaned and lubed it, i'll see how long it'll last before it happends again.

Never had a problem with mine, since day one, worked like a charm. The only thing I did, was put the stiffer spring in, requires less turn to get the same amount of boost. Also, the stiffer spring kept my boost from dropping as much. I also added a little Silicone grease around the ball bearing and the spring.

My first one jammed the first time it saw boost; called them, talked to a rep with an Evo on the phone and he sent me a new one no questions asked. I still have the broken one too.
