Engine blown !!!!

As I posted long time ago the noise that was in the engine is due to a spark plug that broke into the 4th piston and did some damage to the engine so now my engine is gonna be over sized .5 oem pistons so I thought if everything is gonna be changed and oversized why not put a stroker kit but I heard from a another garage it may break my transmission and it my hurt the drivetrain and he said it cant be daily driven the garage working on my car right now is 1 of the best so I am not sure if I should go for them also i am thinking of getting cams while I am at it thanks in advance.

I just want to know the drivability of having a stroked 2.3 evo and if I can use it for daily driving and sometimes racing

drivability is great becuse u have more torque under the curve.

I would assume it would be easier to drive.

I have heard both good and bad things. As far as tolerances go 2.3 seems to be not as good and seems to cause a lot of noise and vibration (just what I heard from my friends with stroker kits), however they do make torque earlier in the rpm range hence making it more drivable. As for me, lag is way overrated. Once you spool its all forgotten and forgiven

vibration can be due to a 2.3 without balance shafts..

you can consider keeping them..

ours purrs like a kitten..

and makes a monster flat torque curve from 4000-7800 rpm

The 2.3 isn't going to hurt your transmission, it's how you drive it (dumping the clutch, power shifting etc...)

You might want to rethink using OEM pistons (of any bore dimension) if you're going to be building a stroker or any other HP motor, though.
