So exactly what is his name on the boards? In the market for a 65mm TB and port/coat the stock intake mani as well. Anyone got some dyno sheets comparing his work to Buschurs?

Man, his username on EvoM is, "WOT". Normally, the porting job on the Green from FP only involves gasket matching the turbine housing inlet to the exhaust manifold flange. I'd guess that WOT's porting job is more involved and complete and reduces backpressure within the 10.5 housing itself. You can PM him though.

He gasket matches the inlet, but he also does some deeper porting on the inlet side. He also totally ports the outlet (anyone that has a green knows there's a slight lip from where FP has the housings machined to accept the larger turbine wheel). I should have taken pics before I put the turbo on.

First off, i am not a vendor. i just modify stuff for my friends within the evo community.

I dont have a dyno compare of my 65mm tb's vs others, but check out my 65mm tb vs. oem tb dyno compare within my signature that was conducted on the same day, same car, same mbc setting, same fuel, same cal, etc.

the car never got pulled off the dyno & this was performed in front of ~20 socal evo members. the inlet manifold was ported prior to both dyno runs, in order to support the 65mm tb

This is the ONLY dyno compare that i have seen comparing oem vs. 65mm tb's.

it's not gospel, but it is a dyno compare that was paid for by me.

WOT, looking at the dyno comparo of the two TBs in your sig, it looks like both runs are within the noise of the dyno, and that the peak hp "gain" is just a spike in the noise. They look like the normal run to run variation you'd see even if no mods were made between runs... its seems misleading to quote a 8.3 hp gain on a spike...

Good point Ron. The peak number is based off the highest dyno read value.

however the 3 runs made with the oem were within 1.8 whp of each other & the 3 pulls with 65mm tb run were within 2 whp of each other. so for the most part, the dyno was reading fairly consistant alonfg with the tune. power did not degrade from run to run due to an overly aggressive/ambitious tune.

the 2 runs from each config were the highest peak value. the 8.3 does in fact come from the peak numeber, but clearly there is a 5whp gain made about 90% across the entire power curve.

hence the statement of:
"My 65mm tb vs oem tb dyno comapre illustrating a avg. of 5whp gain / max 8.3 whp gain over oem"

it's funny how someone who is willing to disect the finer points of a dyno chart is capable of missing the bold print describing the dyno chart

ron- all 3 runs with the 65mm tb were higher than the best oem run.

The higher reading values on the dyno graph posted were experienced with the 65mm tb, not the other way around. Not just the 8.3 whp gspike that your refering to or implying was the only gain. i can email you or anyone else a copy of the scan if you want, so you can view it closer. just pm me your emial address

since your a stickler for detail, please tell me the differnce's you see in the other vendors 65mm tb whp claim from their dyno compare........oh wait, there arent any

If you send WOT your TB does he port it and send your original one back to you or is it done on an exchange basis?
