UICP&LICP question

i think i am goin to pull the trigger and get new upper and lower ic pipping. i searched and came up with like 3zillion threads and skimmed and really didnt find what i was looking for.
First, what in your guys opinion is the better performing system for the money? And did you have to do the mini battery kit? Do you think there is a gain when you have to do the battery re-locate kit?
Second, do you have to remove the front bumper to do the licp? if so i might as well spend the extra and just buy a bigger FMIC also.
i know this has been beat to death but please respond with real info or a link to another thread you ran across, not "search n00b"
thanks in advance
kevin

1) Forget the uppper pipe and just get the lower one. That is where the most restriction is. The upper pipe is for those who are running really high boost and want to get rid of the OEM rubber connector pipes.

2) Yes you do have to remove the front bumper. I only takes 5min 4 bolts, 2 screws, and abunch of plastic clips. You will be glad you did.

No, the upper doesn't help much on the stock turbo, and it's not need for alky injection. I still have all stock IC piping, because other mods are much more important and valuable.

there is a how to install a hpf licp and that shows how to remove your front bumper.

i did an ams licp and a buschur uicp. the buschur uicp is a really nice piece and yest i went with the ams mini battery and that is so nice.

if i were you you might want to look at the buschur deluxe fmic because it comes with the licp and then you can just tack on the buschur uicp and mini battery for a few extra $$$. from what i have seen buchur uicp>ams uicp but ams mini battery > than buschur.

i think all licp's are about the same so i have no opinion on this.

"Some" as in 4 hp. Save the money get something else. More or less its bling not power. Many run OE UICP with meth and have no issues. But if you have to have it...

LICP - yes good mod. Not a hp mod - but it helps get the turbo spooled back up between shifting.

Also, it does make a difference if it's routed like stock or straight-through like the BR. The straighter design will give more results, but those require a mini-battery and aftermarket intake.

It's for bling, which I consider crap. It is not a straight-through design. People get it for showing off mainly.

the mini battery doesnt really bother me, i was just wanting to spend that money on something else. but i know there was a thread around i read about mini batteries. like the eratek kit was just a modded regular battery they stuck there name on. the thing i might do is just buy some one mini battery mount kit and find the thread about the mini batteries. do you think you lose anything by goin with the little batteries??

I don't think the hardpipe is needed - just have to get rid of the airbox.

i really liked the transient response i got from my licp, so i think they are good. iwould get a buschur unit, as i believe his pipe offers a larger id pipe straight out of the turbo with a btter bend radius than what the oem discharge pipe offers.

as far as a uicp, if your going to get 1, be 100% CERTAIN that is does not touch the upper radiator hose.

you spent all this time sending your air through your fmic cooling down your air, now your going to have your zoomy polished ucip resting on this tube that has 185f water heating up this pipe.....F-ing retarded.

the nisei uicp pipe is good, because it sits furthest away from the upper radiator hose from what i have personally seen. i think you neeed the mini battery to use the nisei uicp.
