Service Engine Soon Light

i got my custom upper IC pipe installed with my hks ss bo coming off of it.... also the k&N intake... i now have a check engine light coming on and its the 2nd day since i got my car back... what did AAM do to my car! anyone else having this problem... i think they did a real lackluster job on my car bcuz they had it for a while and i got mad at them bcuz they made a custom cold air intake using my car to prototype without even telling me... which made them take longer to finish the simple **** on my car... so we got into a dispute... and basically they were hurried into putting the **** on my car... so basically i think they are doing ****ty work bcuz i was *****in at them... does anyone else have a service engine soon light problem w/ same mods.... what could it be... and do you guys think i should still trust them to work on my car... i mean dont get me wrong they are known for doing good work... but maybe they just choose not to do good work for me now since we had a dispute even though it was THEIR FAULT and i had every right to be mad... i dont kno though maybe i should take my thousands of dollars to another shop bcuz i dont feel like im wanted there no more i even tried to call them today to talk to mike and couldnt get in touch with him they kept sayin he was inthe shop and when i called when they were closing they put me on hold for literatly over 15 minutes when they said they were going to go get him... advice anyone? i mean **** i would rather get my work done there bcuz they are closer than extreme and do have good work... but man my experience hasnt been too good so far

you could go to an auto parts store and see if they would pull your codes for ya. I know Auto Zone here in KC will pull your codes for free! it could be a stupid thing like your gas cap not being screwed on tight enough.
I personaly would go back AAM and see what they could do for ya. If they give you ****, make them fix the problem if its there fault, then give us some feed back.

EDIT: if your CEL is flashing you shouldn't drive the car, it means something its seriously wrong. If your CEL is just on and not flashing then it isn't life threating for your car but should be looked at ASAP. Just F.Y.I.

All you'll ever need!

You can check/clear CEL's as well as see Timing Advance and other very important info about your car. Teamed with a SAFC, its really all you need for a basic road tune.

Any BOV VTA will almost always throw a CEL code. There's no reason, other than a cool sound to have a BOV VTA. Just recirc the BOV like the factory one, and your problems should go away.

Granted, you may need to have the CEL cleared first.

Also, they could have started the car withou the MAS plugged in accidently. Seen that happen several times before. But try the battery disconnect. Just like a cold reboot.

thanks shahul i will have to try that... i have sent mike an email and hopefully this well help me along... aam treats me like im just some little kid... and not a VALUED customer that is going to spend 5 figures there... hopefully the email i have sent him will clear things up between me and him... just one tihng though.... would anyone else on this board be PISSED off and have a major problem with a shop if they made a custom cold air intake for your car w/out your permission... (prototype)... and than they sorta had to keep your car longer than they were supposed to... and then we u get pissed off they sorta talk like they did nothing wrong... and then to top it all off they OFFER u the CAI for 40$...even though it was MADE on my car for mass production so they can make money off of it... i just feel like im bein treated like some punk kid instead of a VIP customer =X..hey shahul just a quick question.. how much did they charge you to dynotune your car??
