91 octane or better...
i live in Los angeles area, i just want to know if its going to hurt our car if we californians uses 91 octane on our evos. is there any gas station carries 91 + octanes?
Union 76 carries racing gas at 100 octane and above. Here's a link to their website to locate their stations with their racing gas.

I don't own an Evo but reading the info from the forums, the Evo's ecu adapts to the octane. Some sort of adaptation to prevent engine knocking.

well thanks for the info dude! maybe i'll go to one of these gas station and try to fill my gas tank with racing fuel, so i need to empty the gas tank and start filling it with a higher octane?
No need to buy racing gas, just obtain a product called Toluene and add it to normal pump fuel. Add about 10% to stop any chance of pinking and 20% if you are racing or rallying.
Once you have Toluene in your tank you can increase the boost and the ignition advance to get hugely improved performance.
Careful, do not store Toluene in plastic containers, do not get it on your skin and do not breathe the fumes.
Toluene = liquid TNT, and it works great.
Toluene can usually be obtained from wholesale paint, print or agricultural suppliers
