I had this same problem with 3rd and 4th gear at the track this weekend, never happened before

 

Sprungs hub clutch disks really hate hard launches.
The marcel spring also can be distroyed.
If a hub springs breaks or dislodges itself, you wont be able to put it into gear.
A malfuntioning clutch is a easy ticket to destroyed syncros as well.
