service engine soon

i was teaching my fiance how to drive stick and she stalled it a million times now service engine soon light came on,anyone know what the problem might be?

you don't teach on an evo. buy a $500 civic and let her learn. that's what i did! actually, you prob overheated the trans. take it to a mitsu dealer and have them check the codes. it prob just needs reset. either that, or you're completly f'ed.

Read the code at Autozone and find out - much better than asking us to guess.

I highly recommend NOT teaching your wife to drive a stick using the Evo. That's just plain ridiculous.

I tought my wife (then GF) to drive a stick back in the day on a new 1st generation S4 with 330HP (my slow car), she then graduated to my 450HP 200TQ track car. Many years later, he is now a successful SCCA road racer so it appears that I created a monster....LOL!

As suggested, go have the code pulled at a place like Autozone and if it is fairly random, clear it out and see if it returns.

I also taught my wife how to drive stick on my Evo and didn't have any problems with it. Maybe it is just because I'm an awesome teacher.
