Not completely... You'll then have two boost gauge though...
One of the cool feature that Blitz DTT have is that it calculates
how much time to wait based on how much you're on or
off boost...

DTT Blitz

I just ordered the harness and the black Blitz DTT DCII.

Whoever did those install pics, thank you so much!!

Great job.

Now for the really dumb question...z....is it difficult getting the console cover off so that you can tie into the parking brake wiring?

Cutting into the vacuum boost line...does the Blitz come with a vacuum T-connector, or is another side purchase?

Any OTHER special tips for the non-pro gearhead, wannabe wrencher? Should I just take to my favorite installer, subie mech guy and have him do it? Or so simple it is that I can easily do myself?

Blitz come with all the connectors... the only thing I added for
the install is wire looms and zip ties.. to keep everything clean...

As for the panel removal... I have the shop manual.. so that
helps..

I've experimented with mine a great deal. I think on auto mode -- boost related auto, vs time running -- that the TT gives you credit for off-boost low-load time.

I've tried all functions. I kind of like the boost-auto mode for short hops, setting the base to 40 or 50 secs. If I go drive an hour or more, and the end point doesn't involve some lenghty around town cooldown time, I'll use the audo time mode.

At other times I'll override and select the 2min 30 sec, if I've done some recent hi-boost blasting, but some cooldown time.

When I go really hard or really long, I leave mine at 3 or 4 minutes manual. If I'm really at 10/10ths or close driving, I'll just let the car idle for six minutes or so.

I never shut down when running hard at all.

And I see 1.45kpa at times on boost.

Just one opinion. I wish the auto function would include simultaneous time running and level of boost recorded. That would be my ideal. But the TTII allows time-running based increments, or boost related, or pure manual.

That blend setting auto of both time running and level of boost would be hot.

I’ve been peaking at 1.47kpa (21.25 PSI?) and tapering down to 1.26kpa in my stock Evo during the cold weather we’ve been experiencing lately. My audible warning is set to 1.40 and I may have to move it up. At what point should we worry about over boost?

Has a timer you can set so that it starts in the morning or anytime you've got it set for -- I mean a clock start function, not timer.

Otherwise, mostly the same.

It would be nicer if it had a remote start function built in....Oh, am I dreaming... because it would be nice to be able to start the car and warm it up without getting near the beast first.

1.47 hkpa is 21.6 psi, according to Blitz website 1 hkpa is 14.7 psi. I'm surprised you can get that kind of boost stock. I can only get that if I remove the restrictor pill on the boost line otherwise I only get 1.3 hkpa at most.

I'm just quoting you what the meter reads. Is it right on? I've never really been certain...And if it converts to 21 psi...and my engine is running fine...I've either got a very special evo, or the gauge isn't spot on....

I suspect it's the gauge. And by 9000 miles, I shoulda known by now...boom....

BTW: Someone out there posted that kpa doesn't convert perfectly to bar. I should research it myself, and will, but does anyone know? Save me the reseach? Oh damn, I'll go research it too.

I've researched it and cannot seem to make sense out of what I've read. Maybe I need more sleep!!

But "hkpa" I'm trying to figure out what the "h" stands for. That may be a factor of some sort that is screwing my calculations.

But what I get is "2.5 hkpa = 36.75 psi" therefore 1.25 hkpa = 18 psi. I'll take another look at my peak boost reading, but either way....hmmm....I could be dreaming or ... boom is waiting ... R2

Maybe the "h" stands for stHonkin kpa...Or could it be as in Hg, which is mercury measures...??? Anyone have a clue.
