Thought I had enough break in miles? maybe not.

I put 1200 miles on my new exedy stage 2 clutch, about 600 stop and go miles. Last night I did my first launches on it and it slipped bad off my 6k two step I was wondering what people had luck with as far as break in miles? 5k launch seemed to help a bit but not much, and 4k just bogged. A 3010 clamping force should be doing alot more than it is. I just had a act stage 1 in the car previously and it bit alot harder. Is there still more break in period to be had on the exedy, could I have done any damage to the new clutch?

your clutch is fine, go back and get some more runs. Stop worrying about it.

I never could believe or go with the hard break in period for a new clutch. That subject seems like a big arguement to me. 7 hard launches on it at mission last night should be a start then

Breaking it in is the right way to go.

However, even I launched the crap out of my first RPS twin carbon as soon as it was installed and it held up well!

slipped a little for the first few times and then it was fine!
