The fact that business who compete directly with me for sales have chosen to use negative marketing and bad mouth my work really should not have come as a suprize. In the past many upcomming reflash tuners have started their business attacking me and my work as of course I was one of the first and most popular reflash tuners going back to 2003. The reality is it is hard to bad mouth your way around the proven in service record and reliability that the cars I have tuned have demonstrated for the past 5 years with many going over 100,000 miles. Whether of not my work leaves anything to be desired in your eyes is really OFF TOPIC to this conversation and thread and not of relevance to this topic.

The hundreds of independently verified dyno results, track times and accomplishments of my customers with my tuning speak for itself. I note in passing your signature indicates which tuner you prefer.

Beause I speak my mind on a subject I find of interest in this thread should not give rise for fan boys and supporters of other tuners to attack me and start a flame fest. I have not questioned anyone's work here or said anything about anyone's work please lets not contine to go

Dont other tuner has capability of switching their tune to base/stock map if you encounter Engine knocks due to poor Gas.

The side bar discussions are taking this thread away the original question; what happened to the motor? Arguments are ludicrous until the owner has taken the motor apart to see what happened. A member has volunteered to share the gory details of a catastrophic motor failure which interest all of us and can be a terrific learning experience.

ANY additional sidetracks, spinning or innuendo by members or vendors will NOT be tolerated. Thanks.

ok, so i've taken the valve cover off today along with the undertray...as you may have noticed, i am really taking my time with this cuz i won't be pulling out my motor for about another week....possibly...

anyway, off to my findings:

so here's wut i found:

so it looked normal right? ....wrong....look at number 4, exh side, rockers......
well? .....they're missing...BECAUSE they are here:

well, i managed to pick them out and they look fine:

but how and why would they just "slip off" or come off" :

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
now off to the undertray.....pulled it off and obviously found fragments of the block, a rod bolt, a piston ring, and mangled rod bearings. i also managed to pull out the rod it self from the block, contortioning my hand between the block and turbo....well, the rod was in half...............and i placed them on the undertray for you folks to see:

.
.
.
.
.
and finally, here's the underside of the oil pan:

any thoughts so far anyone?

that was my guess as well.... time to find yourself a new motor. By the time you get done salvaging that one, you would have bought one.

Buscuhu has some of those crate IX motors - that would be the cheapest solution I believe
