Hey im new to this site but i have a Evolution 9 Mr and I had a friend of mine instal a ACT 6 puck ceremetallic unsprung clutch and he did alot of the work wrong. When i got the car back everything appeared to be working fine, but i guess that it wasn't because about a month later i was driving along at about 50 miles an hour and my cars antilocks just kick on and it stops and won't move again. When i take it and put it on my friends lift there is no drain plug in the trans and it is filled with metal shavings and i really don't know what i should do.
I have already ordered a new clutch and will possibly order a new trans but i need some feedback.
I have a evo 9 mr with a 20 g turbo, tsudo turbo back , apexi AFC neo, recaros, harnesses, harness bar,guages

 

all I can say is good luck man. Get a hold of your friend and make him fix it! If he knew what he was doing that wouldn't have happened. Do it right, do it once.

Wow, well, that's what you can expect when you randomly have a friend do such a difficult job on your car in an attempt to save money. Your mod list is pretty scary, too, so this is not a surprise to me.

Yes, the 05 and 06 MR transmissions are the same.

Looks like your drain plug backed out and all your tranny fluid came out and you bascially destroyed your transmission. Why you have an UNSPRUNG ACT Six puck is beyone me unless you plan on over 700WHP.

Look for a new trans, IDK why you puchased a new clutch, I bet that SIX Puck is fine.

 

the same exact thing happened to me, however i knew i had a drain plug issue and put a washer on it and tightned it, apparently it didn't hold, destroeyd the transmission.......clutch install went smoove however

 

did you flash your ecu yourself

 

You didn't see any pools of trans fluid??? It's going to be cheaper to buy an used trans.. Good luck
