Throttle Stop for Aftermarket TB's

I have noticed with Throttle Bodys like the BBK that the throttle travel is less then stock, there for you need to have a throttle stop (down under the peddle) so you dont break the shaft on the throttle body under hard jabs (on) throttle. How many would be intrested in a Easy throttle stop if I made some. I know the BBK for sure is less travel then stock (about a inch) anyone know what the other throttle bodys on the market are (acufab, q45 exc..)

Basicly it would be a stop that threads on to the 6mm stud under the throttle peddle. I could prob make something simple for $10-$15 using a double nut locking methed. Any one intrested? Thanks

What intake manifold are you mounting these on?

Don't know if this will apply to what you are doing but we are in the process of getting our modified BBK TB's on a couple of our shop cars that have a brass bushings to eliminate boost leaks as well as a billet aluminum pulley w/ the proper radius to use the stock cable.

Here's a link to it about half way down the page:

Sorry some of the pics have not been updated like the intake manifold

Im using the AME intake manifold, with no IAC control on the throttle body. What "leaks" on the throttle body, there is just the shaft on mine no ports or nothing.

Are you asking what leaks on the BBK TB

If so it's the same as the leaks that occur on the stock TB's.

It's the bearing that the Tb blade shaft sits in on either side.

We replaced them with brass bushings

How have the brass bushings been working out?

Also how well does the IAC provisioning work? Has anyone used this option yet?

Now that I have found this I am leaning to using this and an AMS VSR ...

Hey man i'm really sorry i haven't posted back in this thread but as you probably know i'm having clutch selection issues and have been trying to sift trhough a ton of old threads to see what i should run as i'd like to try and make it out before New Year lol.

I'll actually have Sean our head mechanic and tuner post in here w/ the tech info so i don't go and give out wrong info.

So far so good though w/ the bushings as we have 0 boost leaks.

Car seems to do well even in cold weather and start-ups but i've been sooo busy at real work and at the shop that i haven't drivin it too much.

I'll have Sean post up later today when i pass by the shop

Thanks bud I really appreciate it. I am pretty set on this soon as I get my car running and tuned and a few things worked out I'll be going this route and want to know how this is working out.

Also, a buddy had this TB and the TPS sensor kept going out. He's on the 4th I believe but car has been down for quite some time. He did spray 100% meth though, any issues in general seen with the TPS?
