I loved my 35r on the stock 2.0 without cams at 22psi, it was even better with the meth at 30psi.

IMO a small or big turbo is still limited to the octane on your tank. Sure you can spool up a few hundred rpms faster than a 35r, however most people end up like me wanting more power and getting a bigger turbo (35r or 37r is as large as I will go for a street car)

The 35r is the best of both worlds not too small but not too big, just perfect.

vwjeff cool video, too bad you didn't do that good at the track but that is always a good excuse to go back and try again

Nice video's Except for the guy talking

I agree that the spool on this turbo isn't nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. I was very suprised the first time I drove it. What alot of people dont pay attention to is even if your not at full spool, even partial spool is more power then the stocker at decent RPM's.

Thanks for the vid, you may have just convinced me to go 35R rather than Green.

I like the intent of making a vid which shows how different setups drive.. so thanks to the OP. However, what would be a vastly superior format, is some driving through bends, and a stop light here and there. You don't need to point the camera at the tach for the viewer to tell.

If your intent is to show when you reach full boost, could you not just post a datalog?

Also, I thought David Buschur himself agreed full boost on a 2 litre / 35R was about 5200 rpm in 3rd? That is about what I saw with myself, and also is what was concluded in the "35R Spoolup Answers" thread.

And to all those people that dismiss lag, if you drive your car through stop lights, ever want to overtake without downshifting, etc... believe me lag is there.

My personal take on my old setup was... that I really did not like driving in those rev ranges all that much. Constantly ringing out the car at the higher end of the revs was just unpleasant. What I always loved about a stock setup evo was that torque that was always there. Stock'ish 2 litre + 35R just does not have torque all over.
