Quick question on the 3065

I am in the process of building a turbo kit, I finally figured out the turbo I want but the thing is, I have not seen it in a T3 flanged format only the custom housing FP makes. I know powerwise this turbo sits between a GT35>3065>3076 so my question is what is the T3 flanged equivalent of this turbo if there is one??

I think ETS might have some thing that makes similar power in a t3 flange!

Its nearly the same as the 3082. I am not sure what other differences the FP has on the 3082 when its renamed a 3065 (other than the flange) however. Interestingly HKS also sells this turbo and calls it a 3040.

Just get the 35R from the start. You'll end up doing it anyway.

And SBR calls it a GT-14 cause 14 is the end of the model number. They all are the same CHRA. The 65lb per min, 82mm exducer compressor off a gt35r mated to a gt30 exhaust wheel. Not sure why HKS calls it 40 unless it was origianlly off a small frame gt40 then mated to 35 exhaust wheel, and then maybe the 30.

If FP makes the 3065, then have them do it with the newly released, HTA compressor wheel.

Well that would be my path if I did not have access to a welder. A buddy of mine does custom welding and he did my intercooler piping last year. I just bought the aluminum bends. So I already have intercooler piping and an intercooler all that is left is as follows

Turbo 1150.00
Rev Hard Manifold 240.00
Tial 38MM 220.00
Oil Return 60.00
Oil Feed 30.00
Slim Fan 60.00
Miscellaneous less than 2000.00 Total
O2 housing no cost
Dump Tube no cost
Modify LICP no cost

Ill probably end up selling the stock T and manifold too for about 300.00.

I have already decided to go with the PTE BB6031RE which is the turbo Warp9 uses https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=302452 . I was pretty impressed with his power output and I feel it sits between about where a 3065 sits as far as spool maybe a lil less power capable. I am only looking for 450 - 500hp. Only other thing I may do to add to cost, is drop the APexi exhaust and get a custom 3.5 inch exhaust done with a magnaflow titanium. And make it all vband from downpipe all the way back to the muffler entry.

For the most part its satisfaction of having my own custom setup plus its the cheapest way I can go without having to cheap out on Christmas gifts this season for my family and my wife's family. The EVO is important, but not as important as my family so priorities dam. Maybe I should just get everyone a card ahahha

The turbo that you are linking to is a standard t3/t4 60-1 with a BB center section. Its a very old but tried and trued compressor wheel. Its a 60 lb per min wheel where a 35R and 3065 and both 65 lb per min compressors.

35R is a 65 lb wheel, same as the 3065(comp side). which both are GT series turbos. The turbo linked above is a 60 lb per min "60-1" compressor which is a t3/t4 not a GT. the DSM FP Red turbo is a 60-1 compressor and the DSM green is a 50 trim.
