Viscous Coupling

Where can I buy/how can I acquire a viscous coupling in the transfer case for an Evo 8? Don't say Mitsubishi dealership, because from what I know, the transfer case comes in 1 piece. Need to try something out.

Nothing crazy. Trying to take one apart to see exactly how it works, and if it's possible to make the car send more power to the rear wheels. Seems like the front tires blaze more on launches.

You aren't going to make that happen by modifying a VC. A VC is a very simple device.

there is nothing wrong with the transfer case as long as you don't dump the clutch at 7 grand and lift the front end up. You spin the **** out of the fronts and yes ahit will break. Try a stiffer suspension if you want to drag race.

Your's may have had a defect. The only two tranfer case issues I have heard of before you, were because of drag racing. The reason is because the front tire(s) spin like hell and the back is getting lots of traction when you dump it. Also these cars had the clutch valve thingy removed or disabled allowing for real nasty dumps.

My car blazes all 4 tires on launches, and I feel since weight is transfered to the back, doesn't it make sense to have more power to the rear wheels? The fronts definitely feel/look like they spin more than the rears.
