Boosting to High?

Well the other day my car hit 25 1/2 lbs of boost. Mods are Greddy Ti-C, TP, Buschur dp, o2 housing, licp and apexi intake. 93 octane and temp was in lower 50's. I have a mbc and fuel pump to be put on and I wan to get tuned quickly for fear of messing something up. Once tuned I really only want to boost up to 24lbs and since it has gotten cooler and the licp was put on that thing spools so damn fast! So what is boosting to high!

turn down the boost down all the way on your MBC before you get tuned. You don't know if the car is knocking and pulling timing. Your tuner will know when it comes time for the tune. Better be safe then sorry

Agreed its way better safe then sorry, I had a freak accident one time where my boost hit 28 psi on 93 gas on the stock Evo 8 turbo. Needless to say never again ever ever ever

Install a wideband. Get Evoscan. Do a datalog, checking AFR's and Knock. Get it tuned.

Just keep your foot out of it until then. It's pretty easy to drive and stay out of boost - if you really want to.
