HTA 35r, new power gains and the quest for 150 mph trap speeds.
Wow I do not even want close to that power (awesome non the less)and the turbo I want is the GT3082, I am glad it has this same wheel. Should be good for my goal of a high 10 sec pass.
I was sitting here and realized I had not looked at the old sheet compared to this sheet. I went back to the dyno and brought the last dyno graph up compared to todays and got quite a shock. I wasn't impressed with the gains until now.
It is also funny that I have not tuned this car on the dyno since 3-28-07!
Check out the comparison:
Looking at that and knowing at the old power level the car ran 148.32 mph, it should eclipse the 150 mph mark now.

Thats a huge torque gain, car must be even more fun to drive now.
IhuntV8, if I can get my truck back tomorrow Jarrod said he will go pick up my new ATV, if that's the case we can do the track on Saturday. Otherwise I am screwed as I commited to picking up the Can Am on Saturday. I also called NRP to ask about a track rental next week for all of us and they are not renting the track anymore this year. Sundays only.
dudical, I would not expect a product release on any of the newest changes I have made. To be honest, I'm not currently sure which of the things I have changed made the difference, maybe a little of all of them.
One thing I will let out of the bag that I changed. I now have a hydraulic emergency brake on the car. While it sounds stupid I was able to eliminate the rear drum brake assembly. This was done for two reasons, one for the weight loss (which wasn't much,-10 pounds) and the other was to eliminate the chance of the drums dragging at all. This could have had some effect on the HP but only if the rear drums to have some tendancy to drag.

DB, I know you said you didnt want to release yhat you did to the car, but I was wondering if the dyno graph that you show between the cast and tube manifolds was your car of someone elses. And are you still on a cast manifold or did you go tubular.
Good luck on hitting your 150 mark!
