HKS SSQV Ver. 3

Hi there everyone

Before anyone said use the search bottom i have and majority of the stuff i found is pretty bad about the version 2. I was wondering if anyone has any good track experience on the version 3 like on of throttle experience because with the version 2 it tends to surge a lot at half throttle and it make the car a little unstable. According to the pdf file on the hksusa.com website http://hksusa.com/products/?id=3261 it seem like they solve that problem, i just wanted to see if anyone has first hand experience with it, if so let me know

Thanks

The Version 2 was absolutely HORRIBLE and surged a ton... but I used this Version 3 for a few days and didn't have any problems with it... It all depends on if you recirculate it or VTA.. Recirculation will yield the best results on the stock MAF without the HKS idle stabilizer or blow through..

The HKS racing BOV will hold plenty of boost. A friend of mine is using it with a 20G-9lt with 27psi and no problems. I believe its rated for 40psi.

yeah on - off throttle is not really the problem but half way throttle is were the boost is surging it make the car really unstable on the track and i wanted to fine a smoother blow off valve

yeah Metal evo 9 USDM is great and the JDM Evo 9 i great to but i think those are rated around 22psi right i run about 24psi all day and 26psi -27psi race gas but yeah if i ran around 22psi i would think about changing to the JDM Evo 9

i hate the ssqv on the evo.. it sucks.. but it works flawlessly on my srt-4.
