what are restrictor pills?
...It's a pill in the line somewhere that causes some form of restriction....The one in the BCS...... Don't F with that.
The restrictor pill in the clutch line..... Many people who go with an aftermarket clucth also get a stainless steel clutch line which has no restrictor pill.

BCS is the acronym for boost control solenoid. There is no restrictor pill in the BCS. Maybe you were just being a tad obscure.

Yeah, you had the right idea.
I just happened to recall the clutch fluid restrictor pill being in a port in the slave cylinder body. Eventhough, I didn't do the SS clutchline install myself, I was watching.
The factory boost-vacuum lines contain two strategically located restrictor pills( 2 separate locations).
EDIT: Incidentally, the factory boost controls, managed by the ECU through the BCS and the restrictor pills is a neat system. There are tuners on this forum such as "Razorlab" and others, who have modified and improved upon the system, achieving rock solid boost control at higher boost levels and great spoolup as well. If I was smart enough to understand how the factory system works, then I'd get rid of my MBC

On my DSM the restrictor pill was in the boost solenoid itself. Anyway, the reason for the pill was that no two cars off of the assembly line would produce the exact same boost due to differences in parts and engines. So, in final checkout the correct pill was inserted to trim the boost to the amount desired by the factory. I suspect the same is true for the Evo.
