I might have a few issues

Before I start going on and buying new parts, I need a little advice from people who may have experienced the same issues.

First of all, at idle when I have my foot off the clutch, I hear like a grinding noise or almost like clutch chatter but not so harsh. When I put my foot on the clutch the sound goes away which leads me to believe that's the throw out bearing. Also, when I go into each gear, It's not ROUGH but it definatly hits something along the way inside if you get what im saying.. if I do shift slowly, the gear grinds the TINIEST bit.. and I mean tiny like you can only feel it in your hand.. no sound lol. It's very minor, really. So it's not like it just happened.. it is getting progressively worse.

secondly, I some how got a tear in my axle boot. It's not major, it's not severe enough that I have to park the car. But today when I was accelerating from a stop, I felt a clunk as I was releasing the clutch... could that be in issue with what I have up top or can that be the axle starting to stick or something???

I really NEVER beat on the car... Never WOT shift or anything like that, maybe a few 3 gear pulls here and there to see how it's moving. Havn't ran the car at any tracks yet either so I don't know what it could be or how it could have happened.
any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Get the boot fixed and don't sweat the rest until it gets worse. Your only going to stress yourself out.

How many miles anyway?

As far as your tranny goes... The release bearing noise is most likely normal. Mine comes and goes. As far as your shifting woes go... You're experiencing what us Evo owners call "notchyness." If you get a slight grind, you may want to change out the tranny fluid or adjust the clutch pedal. PM me if you need more help.

The axle boot tear in the long run is not good for the bearings underneath it. The clunk sound you heard was probably just the random Evo clunk though. Get a new boot or try to seal the existing one. Dust and dirt will accumulate on the bearing grease underneath and cause problems.

I never beat on my car either man. Some things just happen to us light drivers.

Our tranny's suck in the cold. Mines bad when cold, and not much better when hot! It sucks.

well this sucks.. I just left to go drop my GF back at college at as I left the gas station, my car started to go clunk clunk clunk clunk then when I came to a stop it started to make a creeking and screeching noise....

This really does stink, my car has 30k miles on it and I don't EVER beat on it seriously..

thats the axle right? This JUST starting happening 1 hour ago. I'm beginning to hate cars, I really am.

Nah, I would say thats the clutch giving out on you, by the description of the sounds its making, everything in the bellhousing is gonna need to be replaced.....

If its the stock or even aftermarket clutch, thats usually the culprit.

well its not the clutch seeing as the car drives perfectly fine still. I think that noise and the feeling while changing gears is just how its supposed to be. When I turn the clunking got intense and when the car rolls all you hear is clunk clunk clunk. Also, I parked in the car in my driveway (slight hill) and the car stayed completely still with the e-brake down and out of gear....

sounds like you lost a cv joint in the axle with the torn boot.
