MR owners question!

hey my fellow MR owners....

since you all have the 6-speeed...
what clutches are you all running?
and what kind of proples are you guys getting in to?

currently have 350whp on stock clutch...
need something that wont destroy my tranny...
dont plan on launching much...
doubt i'll ever track it...
just need it for daily driveee

I have the ACT HDSS street clutch. Its stronger than stock, pedal pressure is slightly heavier than stock, engagement is good and have had no problems. I'm not modded yet, so I can't tell you how well it performs with 350whp, but I do know its got quite a bit more clamping power than stock. There are alot of people that run this clutch and should be fine if you are not launching or racing all the time. Probably the least expensive quality clutch kit as well.

I run the ACT HDSS clutch also...I'm at the same power level as you

I've had the clutch for about 12k miles and can't complain

get buschur shifter bushing though...prior to having these bushing I'd get lock out of forth gear at high rpm...bushing resolved this

Had the HDSS, didn't know the clutch disc was toast (apparently melted to flywheel), and destroyed 6spd. If getting an ACT clutch I would recommend either stock or ACT flywheel. I had the clutch with an Unorthodox flywheel and it would rub (noticed unusual wear at disassembly) which would cause the car to roll in 2step.

I think you should get a tilton carbon carbon or maybe a ATS. I think those will hold the power just fine. =]

stock here. installed ACT HDSS @ 21k (with SS Clutch Line) - now at 23k... There's a lot of bad experiences on this forum with the ACT kit, but I've had no problem whatsoever. Running strong. (Stock flywheel).
