Boost problem after taken out profec b
Boost problem after taken out profec b
I have a Greddy Profec B spec 2 intalled for 2 weeks so far, and because I am going to put the vishnu XEDE in, I took it out yesterday night... and...
basically I hook back up the stock solenoid - with one line (the one that is closer to the battery) that goes into the intake pipe, and the other one (that splits into 2) to the turbo and the wastegate. Somehow I am only getting a 0.8bar of boost, which is a little less than 13 psi. I went back to redo all the lines again, and made sure they are no leaks, no puntures etc but still getting only 13 psi. I even took out the boost gauge line at the fuel pressure regulator because i was suspecting it might leak there, but still drives slow.
Anyone has any idea what my problem is? took out the profec b and then only 13 psi? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It ran fine and holds boost steady at 19psi. if you want it I can have it $300 shipped to you assuming you are in the lower 48 states
However, my problem is still not solved...

Hmmm, has everyone with the boost problem taken out the BSC restrictor out?? In my eclipse I had the Profec-B with the restriction out and hand no problems with boost, I was running constant 18#'s, I know our Evo's run more, but not sure if this is the problem. Are you sure you have no leaks an any of the hoses or all your connections tight?.............thinkin..................
no, apparently after spending the last two days at the dealership... the solenoid is becoming a big problem and has been failing on evos, the techs have been getting calls about it left and right.. so now i have to wait 90 days! until i can get the boost solenoid, because it is in japan.. until then i will be running a measily 10# of boost!! this f*cking sucks!
