just like the title says,
why is the clutch pedal feel harder in 03-04 models? much harder?
i drove my uncle's 9MR and i've gotten into 05 models too, they all feel so much lighter. so why? what makes it like that and how can i make my 03 pedal feel to be like 05-06 models?

i dont think ive seen threads on this yet but then again, i might have just missed them

I thought they upgraded the clutch after 03. Just hearsay though, I don't know for certain.

the clutch is all the same, but the pedal feel is way different on newer models

i was just wondering, maybe they use some kind of booster kind of like for power brakes
i only ask because this exedy stage 1 is killing me. not just that but like i said, the stock clutch pedal feels is just a bit lighter than with the exedy stage1

The clutches are basically the same (slight differences in discs) but I am not totally sure about the operating system. I haven't heard of any significant changes. Keep in mind that just having proper lubrication and a newer clutch will make the pedal feel much lighter than an older clutch with lack of lubrication.

agreed. generally older cars with mileage will always have a heavier clutch pedal feel compared to newer models. probably jus wear? i do know that unfortunately our evos have the same exact clutch as a LANCER. check the part # DOH
