Talking MY poor car is all tore apart

I had Lucas send me a few pics of some of the progress so far.
So as you guy saw her all cleaned up and just in the DSport magazine. Now i had to tear her all apart again The turbo kit got sold to the boys at TopLevelAuto so hope for some good times soon there.

You can see in the pic i have all the abs stuff out and booster. So i hope my parachute will slow me down

Here is the hand brake

Now here are the poor pistons after about 200 passes at the track insane timing and i would say 80 or so dyno pulls. About 50 psi plus on each run also

Ill get more pics as we build her up soon

Well waiting for the Tial Housing . As soon as i get it im sending it back to Tial. Jake who works for Tial is going to work his magic on it Thank You Jake for the info. Ive heard that housing can spool faster than a 42r twin scroll
I have the 45r wheel with the 4202 housing and the 1.00 Tial exhaust housing for the new setup. Going to use a Tial 60mm wastegate also

The manifold is going to be in the same place with equal length runners. The intake we are going to use aluminum to make it vs the steel one i had.
Also going with JE 10.1 pistons which i stole from Lucas Im doing a bunch of Aero and Suspension work. Lots more lighting up of the car. Thats just the start.
I almost have a extra part of each thing on the car So im ready!

Wow, those pistons are trashed. I hope you know what is causing that if you don't you are going to have more problems next year........I know nobody wants my input but you need to change some things for next year for sure. I'd post a picture of the pistons out of our black car after an entire year on them but nobody would believe it. They are on my work bench waiting to go into another engine.

Nice dog. Austalian Shepherd?

Merry Christmas Paul.

Our piston to wall clearances were a little to tight for the amount of boost and timing we were running. I did that nobody else did. 22 deg of timing and 57 psi can do that to things But thats just me pushing it to hard. I knew the motor was coming apart. But also have to remember you guys don't head to the track friday, sat, sunday at this power level almost every weekend I really need a V8 for my bracket racing and the evo for the events i go to.

If it were up to Lucas he would have me at 47 psi and keeping her together. Hes already called me 4 times this week to reiterate lets go more conservative

Merry Xmas to you David! Hope you have snow down there

I know what went wrong and kick my self for letting he car do that. We had a point ware boost control was not working right and it was hitting fuel cut I kept dropping the duty but it was not responding right. Paul thought this was the last pass and he did not care so I set the fuel cut to 57psi so it would make a pass. Then on the next pass the car was 35psi so I think there was a vac leak or boost solenoid problem. Next year we are moving the piston to wall clearance up a tad, going to a cust JE piston and I am going to keep the tune more in check no mater what Paul says to me. I have found this year trying to squeeze all the hp out like its the cars last pass ever does not make the car any faster and just hurts things.

Anyway Dave I think we will get things figured out and make quite a few events Next year. Wish we could see your Black car hit a few events.
