Mine ran really rich when I installed my pump and I had a noticeable decrease in gas mileage. I'm tuned now though so all is well.

evos run rich from the factory, so installing without a tune should make it run very rich.

I had my car flashed after my BR Stage I upgrade and currently in the process of having it reflashed again because I just added a Walbro FP and PPI licp. I know it is not a complete necessity to have it reflashed after this latest addition but I wanted optimum performance and safety. There's no need in wasting unnecessary money on gas for running too rich when you don't have to and you can still maintain excellent performance.

Fuel pump shouldn't make the car immediately run richer. It doesn't give anymore fuel than when you had the stock one unless the fuel system demands it. I seriously doubt that stock turbo cars with relatively low boost (20-22psi) demand more fuel from the pump.

Just my 2 cents.

For about the same price that you'll spend getting a reflash that may not actually be justified, you can get yourself a wideband AFR gauge with logging capabilities and the Tactrix cable with Evoscan/Mitsulogger software. By logging AFR's after adding a mod you'll know whether or not the fuel table needs to be altered accordingly.

Just installed mine with no issues. runs rich and need to adjust it but no issues. Also, OP had a IX and the Walbro is only slight higher flowing. Not as big of a difference as when install on an VIII.
